Coastal Security: Needed A New Look was edited by Dr. K.R. Singh and Dr. K.M.Seethi under the auspices of the K.P.S.Menon Chair for Diplomatic Studies of SIRP.
The book on COSTAL SECURITY is the outcome of the workshop held on the theme under the Chair and it deals with multiple threats to national security by non-state actors and terrorists via India’s adjacent sea space which has become a matter of great concern not only for the Government at the Centre but also those of the coastal states. It focuses on a range of subjects concerning coastal security as well as offers actionable recommendations for policy makers both at the Central Government as also at the State government for appropriate short-term as well as long-term actions.
Dr. Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chancellor, released the book. Dr. Raju Thadikkaran, Director, SIRP welcomed the audience and Dr. K.M.Seethi spoke on the occasion. Dr. A.M. Thomas proposed vote of thanks.
